How to Use Marathi Fonts in Canva
Learn how to find Marathi fonts in Canva, add your own .TTF fonts, and use Marathi text in Instagram posts, wedding cards, festival posters, and YouTube thumbnails.
Canva is a popular design tool for social media posts, Instagram stories, posters, videos, and other designs. If you are creating Marathi designs, choosing a font that supports Marathi text is important.
Here are simple steps to use Marathi fonts in Canva.
Step 1: Find Marathi Fonts in Canva
Canva has several fonts that support Devanagari and Marathi text. Instead of looking through many fonts, search for these font names in the Canva font box:
Noto Sans Devanagari
Clean and Modern Marathi TextA clean font that is good for websites, social media posts, posters, and normal Marathi text.
Mukta
Versatile Headings and ParagraphsA simple Marathi font that works well for headings, posts, cards, and longer text.
Tiro Devanagari Marathi
Traditional and Cultural DesignsA traditional-looking font made for Marathi and Devanagari text. It can be useful for wedding cards, books, headings, and cultural designs.
Step 2: Add Your Own Marathi Font to Canva
If you want to use a Marathi font that is not already available in Canva, you may be able to upload a .TTF font with a Canva plan that supports font uploads:
- Download the .TTF font file from our Marathi font collection.
- Open Canva and go to your Brand or Brand Kit section.
- Find the Fonts area.
- Select Upload a font.
- Choose the .TTF file from your computer.
- Follow Canva's instructions and confirm that you have permission to use the font.
- After the font is added, you can select it when editing your Canva design.
Step 3: Use Unicode Marathi Text
When creating Marathi designs in Canva, use Unicode Marathi text.
Unicode text can be copied and pasted between websites, phones, apps, and design tools more easily. If you have old Marathi text made with a special DTP font, it may not work correctly when pasted into Canva. Convert it to Unicode Marathi first.
